Job Summary:
- Base Salary: Not Disclosed
Purpose of the Position: To support General Food Assistance activities and verification processes to ensure the right persons receive timely assistance, ensuring quality programming and accountability in alignment with World Vision and donor standards at settlement levels.
Major Responsibilities:
- 50%: Mobilize beneficiaries for CBT distribution, quarterly verification, and Monthly General Food and Cash Distribution. Verify beneficiaries during food distribution and participate in data entry and accountability initiatives.
- 20%: Compile and share quarterly verification reports, monitor agent cash out points, and mobilize retailers for assessments.
- 15%: Organize retailers into groups, establish leadership and governance, share verification schedules, and support project trainings.
- 15%: Follow up on retailer performance, support in Retailer Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, assist retailer groups in managing VSLAs and SACCOs, and link them to financial service providers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Agriculture, Nutrition, Food Science, Social Sciences, or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in community-driven facilitation and data management.
- Ability to design/formulate monitoring tools.
- Experience working with vulnerable communities and familiarity with food distribution and rights-based programs.
- Additional Skills:
- Training in IT is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in standard office equipment and software packages.
- Strong analytical, report writing, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, community engagement, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Kiswahili, Kinyabwisha, Runyakitara, Madi, Lugbarati, Arabic, Kakwa, and Bari is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Humanitarian Protection, Accountability Partnership training, Do No Harm in Aid management, and First Aid training.
- Additional work experience in the humanitarian sector.
Work Environment:
- Travel: 75% fieldwork, 25% office.
- On Call: 24 Hours
