Kampala Pothole Exhibition

Ugandans on Monday sent off a web-based campaign to feature the bad roads  in the country’s capital city, Kampala.
The mission is running mostly on Twitter, where concerned residents both in Uganda and abroad have proceeded to punch holes in Kampala’s road system. Social media users have showed a drive to take pictures of potholes in different areas of the city which they transfer with subtitles demonstrating their exact location.

Those abroad have added to the hashtag by citing, retweeting, and labeling government authorities and organizations like Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), and Uganda national roads Authority (UNRA) among others.

While it stays puzzled up when the pothole presentation will end, a few social media users have begun sharing results of the hashtag. A few workers have been caught in the city of Kampala topping off the potholes with soil.

In the mean time, UNRA took to their Twitter stage on Tuesday to flaunt their new versatile trucks that will be supporting road maintenance activities.

“We’ve obtained another fleet of portable station trucks to help street support tasks and guarantee proficient service delivery across our whole road network This considers fixes nearby; particularly valuable in far off regions or during emergency fixes,” UNRA tweeted.
Chief Head of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Dorothy Kisaka uncovered that the public cry over potholed city streets won’t keep going on as the authority is attempting to address the matter critically.
