Job Summary: The GMT IT role supports the IT team to ensure timely user assistance. It involves working with the service desk team as the main communication point between business and IT.
Key Accountabilities:
- Respond to IT-related issues and forward requests to the ISM or Applications team.
- Follow up with ISM/Apps team on solutions for requests or incidents.
- Communicate IT service issues, incidents, or requests to the business.
- Manage the IT Asset register for Uganda.
- Manage relationships between business and IT suppliers.
- Assist in user support and other IT-related requests or incidents.
- Monthly incident management reporting to the IT lead.
- Application service management and documentation.
- Product lifecycle and release management.
- Application change management and deployment planning.
- Assist in managing small application projects and action project activities.
- Provide project updates.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Undergraduate degree (First class or second upper) in IT, Computer Science, Telecom Engineering.
- Fresh Graduate (2023).
- Skills in Software Product Management, Data Analysis, Networking (LAN and WAN), and Basic Database Knowledge.
Work Hours:
- 8 hours per day
