Job Details:
Dümmen Orange, Fiduga Ltd is seeking competent and qualified Ugandans for the position of Audit and Certification Officer. Fiduga Ltd, a flower farm producing and exporting Chrysanthemum Cuttings, has been operating in Uganda since 1998 and is a subsidiary of Dümmen Orange The Netherlands B.V.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal company policies as required by regulatory bodies
- Ensure processes and products comply with set standards
- Document and standardize company policies and procedures
- Report on certification and compliance matters
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
- Coordinate external audits and prepare reports
- Develop and implement training programs
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field
- Diploma/certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation is an advantage
- Understanding of the floriculture industry
- Knowledge of major certifications (ISO, MPS SQ, GAP, Greencare, Green compliance)
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Luganda is an advantage
- High integrity and impeccable character

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure pest and disease-free crops
- Formulate preventive and curative measures for pests and diseases
- Conduct research and trials on biological pest and disease control
- Ensure compliance with phytosanitary standards
- Monitor crops for pests, diseases, and environmental stressors
- Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies
- Analyze data from scouting and spraying reports
- Review sanitation procedures for compliance and effectiveness
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or related field
