Jose Chameleone Asks President Museveni For Mega Music Studio

Singer Joseph Mayanja, alias Jose Chameleone, has asked President Yoweri Museveni for a state-of-the-art music studio.

The Leone Island boss passed his request to the head of state while at a Thanksgiving Event for him at Kololo Independence Grounds on Friday, July 4, 2024. The event was organized by the NRM’s Director for Mobilization, Rosemary Nansubuga Sseninde. It was meant to celebrate the legacy of President Museveni.

Chameleone, who had been invited to entertain guests, also took it upon himself to heap praises upon President Museveni. The self-proclaimed music doctor commended the president for keeping Uganda safe.

It should be remembered that Chameleone was in the opposition not a long time ago. He contested in the 2021 general election, where he was trounced by Forum for Democratic Change’s Erias Lukwago in the Kampala mayoral race. Jose Chameleone contested as an independent after he failed to get the National Unity Platform card. This reignited a fued between him the NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, alias Bobi Wine.

Prior to aligning with the NUP, Jose had become active in politics with the Democratic Party. However, after a dismal performance in polls, he did as Chameleones do, changing allegiance to yellow. He has since been a regular at events for the National Resistance Movement and Patriotic League Uganda, led by first son Gen. Kainerugaba Muhoozi.

In these warnings, Jose stressed that protests like the Reject Financial Bill 2024 that is going on in Kenya cannot happen in Uganda. He attributed this to the guidance of the president and asked all youth to emulate his dedication to Uganda.

Jose Mayanja also assured the president that the youth are on his side and he shouldn’t be lied to by his handlers. The event attracted guests from all walks of life, ranging from religious, political, and traditional leaders to wanainchi.

In his speech, President Museveni preached a familiar message of African Integration. According to him, this is the magic trick to kick poverty out of Africa. Additionally, the president continued with his anti-corruption crusade. He castigated leaders at districts for enabling this vice and pledged to crush all perpetrators.
