Job Summary: The Locum Transport Assistant will ensure safe and reliable transportation for project staff, visitors, and materials. This role includes maintaining project vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal and institutional requirements, and supporting efficient project operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and comfortable transportation for project staff, partners, and visitors as required.
- Transport project materials and supplies to designated locations.
- Maintain project vehicles in good mechanical condition through regular servicing, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Notify the Field Office Coordinator/fleet team promptly of any major vehicle repairs needed.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip authorizations.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and institutional vehicle requirements (e.g., insurance, registration).
- Implement security measures to protect project vehicles from theft or damage.
- Perform general office errands and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications for the position.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Understanding and adherence to company vehicle policies and documentation procedures.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work respectfully within diverse teams.
