About Organisation: Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) is a semi-autonomous agency of the Government responsible for maintaining, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring the National Statistical System. UBOS ensures the collection, analysis, and dissemination of standardized statistical information and is the principal official statistics producing agency in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Enumerators will conduct post-enumeration census in all assigned Enumeration Areas.
Job Purpose: UBOS intends to conduct the Post Enumeration Survey (PES) and seeks to recruit competent, motivated, results-oriented individuals with integrity to carry out this exercise.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in all training sessions.
- Collect information using a tablet on all persons and households in the assigned Enumeration Areas following given instructions.
- Transmit all collected data to the server daily.
- Provide daily progress updates to the parish supervisor.
- Prepare an end-of-assignment report after the enumeration exercise.
- Maintain all PES materials and equipment in good working condition.
- Hand over PES materials and tools to the immediate supervisor post-enumeration.
- Perform other duties related to the PES as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Qualifications: Should possess at least an A’ level Certificate or its equivalent.
- Experience:
- Participation in National Surveys and Censuses preferred.
- Skills and other attributes:
- Must possess a National Identity Card.
- Age between 18 and 50 years.
- Must not have participated in NPHC 2024.
- Knowledge in basic computer applications.
- Responsible citizens with good character and integrity.
- Must be a resident of the district they wish to work in.
- Good communication and public relations skills.
- Must possess a smartphone and a phone number registered on Mobile Money in their own names.
- Must be exclusively available for the PES activity.
NB: Individuals who participated in the National Population and Housing Census (NPHC) 2024 should not apply.
