Summary: Raising The Village is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our PEAL department. The role involves supporting the deployment and localization of project management applications on local data centers and cloud service provider platforms. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and configure project management applications on local data centers and cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to automate deployment processes using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of applications through effective monitoring and optimization.
  • Implement localization strategies for applications in Rwanda and other regions.
  • Maintain and enhance infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and data protection regulations.
  • Troubleshoot deployment and performance issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools is a plus.

Summary: Raising The Village is looking for an experienced Software Engineer specializing in UI/UX to join our PEAL department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a deep understanding of user interface and user experience design principles. This role involves designing and implementing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for our applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process from concept to implementation for web and mobile applications.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on product direction and experience.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI patterns.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize for performance and usability.
