Job Purpose
The Program Assistant-Social Empowerment (PA-SE) will implement social empowerment components, support training and awareness activities, and organize community-level advocacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead program inception activities including community mobilization and participant selection.
- Implement and supervise social and economic empowerment activities in assigned clubs.
- Organize and support Youth Development Committees.
- Ensure achievement of club-level program targets and report issues to the Branch Manager.
- Coordinate with Technical Sector Specialists (TSS) and provide necessary support.
- Guide, supervise, and develop mentor activities.
- Attend monthly coordination meetings and provide updates.
- Support branch-level procurement and logistics.
- Facilitate social empowerment training for participants and connect them with linkage services.
- Follow-up with participants, prepare attendance and drop-out reports.
- Prepare and submit MIS, financial, and other reports timely.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Understand, practice, and promote safeguarding policy.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure for any reportable incidents.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Community Development, or relevant humanities.
- Experience: At least 2 years in international development, with experience in community development programs.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to spend extended periods in the field and travel within the country.
- Proficiency in mobile devices, computers, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Integrity, credibility, and dedication to BRAC’s mission.
