PICTORIAL! ‘Love Scotch Affair’ Campaign Launched to Celebrate Whisky

Uganda Breweries kicked off the “Love Scotch Affair” with a media immersion event on Wednesday, May 29, 2023. This celebration, dedicated to all things Scotch whisky, will run for two months, offering enthusiasts across Uganda the chance to rediscover Scotch and learn the best ways to savor this beloved spirit.

Starting on Saturday, June 1, whisky lovers can indulge in various activities aimed at enhancing their appreciation of Scotch. The campaign was officially launched at Molecule Lounge in Kololo, where select media personalities were given a preview of what to expect from the Love Scotch activations.

During the event, journalists and media personalities were treated to an exclusive “Love Scotch” experience. They enjoyed a comprehensive introduction to Uganda Breweries’ entire Scotch whisky portfolio, featuring mini mentorship sessions on savoring Scotch, creating signature cocktails, and understanding the unique attributes of Johnnie Walker, from blending to aging.

Christine Kyokunda, the Scotch & Reserve Brand Manager at UBL, emphasized the educational focus of the Love Scotch Affair. “This campaign is about unlearning and relearning everything we know about whisky. It’s about discovering new, fun, and exciting ways to enjoy our Scotch. I am thrilled to bring this experience to our consumers,” Kyokunda said.

“The ‘Love Scotch’ campaign will run from June 1 through to July, coming to life in some of Kampala’s most exclusive bars. We invite everyone to join us with their friends and family to experience whisky like never before,” she added.

The “Love Scotch Affair” will include all whisky brands within the Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) portfolio. Single malt enthusiasts can look forward to The Singleton experience, while fans of the distinctive notes of Black & White whisky will also be catered for. J&B and VAT 69 will also be featured, ensuring a comprehensive experience for all whisky lovers.
