The Ministry of Education and Sports is offering 100 Undergraduate Scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year. This opportunity is available to suitably qualified Ugandan students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at Algerian universities.

The scholarships are distributed across various fields of study as follows:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: Minimum of 2 Principal passes at (C level) in relevant subject combinations from the 2023 A-level examinations.
- Age Limit: Must be under 25 years old at the time of application.
- Required Documents:
- Biometric Passport
- Birth Certificate
- Original Medical Certificate
- Two passport photos
- Additional Notes:
- Candidates already admitted on Government sponsorship are not eligible.
- The medium of instruction for all courses is in either French or English.
Scholarship Terms
- Successful candidates will be responsible for purchasing their air ticket to Algeria.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates should download the application form from the Ministry’s website or obtain it from the Department of Admissions, Scholarship, and Students Affairs.
- Submission Options:
- Email: Send the completed application form to scholarships@education.go.ug.
- In-Person: Submit a handwritten application with a recent passport photo attached.
Application Must Include:
- Age, sex, course of study, home district, telephone contact, and email address.
- Photocopies of academic documents.

Selection Process
The shortlist of successful candidates will be published on the Ministry of Education and Sports website and displayed on the Notice Boards at Legacy Towers on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
